(yes, that's right, a woman wearing underpants, if you trust the editor
who says the picture is of St. Brunehilda)

center. In this high-resolution, full-color scan, the person being
drawn and quartered is clearly intended to be female, and is clearly
wearing knee-length white drawers, bunchy around the crotch, rolled at
the waist.
